I agree with you on all but one point. It absolutely breaks my heart to say this (frankly never in my lifetime did I ever think I would even think this.) but if I were in another country right now, if America is selling democracy, I’m not buying it. How does a President who presumably controls the time table on this, not go to Congress (a rubber stamp Congress for that matter) and do the one thing that even that most American know needs to be done?

Great piece, but a few issues.

Is the world a better place without the Ayatollah? That is debatable as we have yet to see who will replace him and it is sure as Hell not going to be democracy. His replacement could be even worse, so saying we are better off is yet to be seen.

Supposedly the justification is that February 23 call between Trump and Bibi when Bibi spilled the beans that the Ayatollah and the rest of Iran's leadership was going to be meeting at his residence in Tehran. Once the CIA confirmed this intel, it seems the game was on. Which explains why Trump & Co. didn't tell anyone else about this even though the four "frat boys" in the DC restaurant did blab it that Friday. Mums the word! LOL!!!!

But that has led us to Israel is now driving the US's foreign policy and actions problem that "Little Marco" is now trying to downplay.

Are we going to get a democratic Iran? Not in the immediate future. Maybe down the road, but that is likely a very long and very, very ugly road that will be traveled. My guess is that we are in for a lot more blood, sweat and tears in and around Iran.
