Well done. Loved your analogy with the whole world of pirates and the history of the Barbary pirates. Would to God that these companies would show some backbone, because what you fear and worry about is, indeed, very troubling and worrisome. My God, what a monster he is.....

Great commentary. Agree completely. So disheartening when see media organizations capitulating to Trump. He’s so successful at getting them to do that, I’m confident he will continue a winning strategy that rewards him with much unearned money.

The thing that never ceases to amaze me about Orange No Beard the Pirate is that 47 will maraud, pillage and plunder but tantrums like a toddler when he doesn't get his way. Instead of appearing as a "strong man", like the pictures of himself that he hangs in his office, he parades himself as a weak victim, something real victims don't like to do. He jumps up and down, shakes his fist, turns even a brighter orange, and hurls his rattle and anyone within distance. Like that toddler, he loves lavished attention, constantly needs to be called a "good boy", with those surrounding him heaping praise and giving him "treats" to soothe his little savage soul (if he has one). One thing I have learned as a mom is not to give into the tantrums, because little Donny will demand more and more. Wish the media and universities that bend would learn that lesson as well.

Our founding fathers realized the value of a free press that’s why journalism is protected. Not for the good of the media, but for WE THE PEOPLE to be able to sort through the issues and decide for ourselves!

It was actually John Adams who built the navy that Jefferson was forced into using :)

Is that what’s happening to Jake Tapper? I am so disappointed with CNN. For so many reasons. I always started my day with a cup of tea and going through the CNN online. Now that their viewers have supported them, now you have to pay??? WT actual F? So done.

And this is why a lot of people are turning to independent media. And away from the corporate/legacy media. The American people loves a fighter. Even if it's Trump. We see it as cowardice pure and simple.
